Pakistan beat Australia by 221 runs in first Test in Dubai

Pakistan defeated Australia by 221 runs in the first Test of the 2-match series in Dubai yesterday. Chasing 438 for victory, Australia resumed their second innings at their overnight score of 59 for 4, on the fifth and final day yesterday. They were bundled out for 216. For Pakistan, Zulfiqar Babar took his maiden five wicket haul. Debutant Yasir Shah claimed four wickets. Younis Khan, who made 106 in the first innings and an unbeaten 103 in the second, was adjudged man of the match.Final scores:Pakistan – 454 and 286 for 2 declared.Australia – 303 and 216.The second and final Test will be played in Abu Dhabi from Thursday.
