Pak wants to focus on its border with Afghanistan: Gilani
In an apparent reference to Pakistan's strained relations with India, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said his country desires least distraction so that it can focus on the war on terrorism along its western border with Afghanistan. He made the remarks during a meeting with visiting US Central Command chief General David Petraeus, who called on him at the Prime Minister's House last evening. Mr Gilani said, Pakistan wants to see a peaceful and stable Afghanistan and is prepared to train the Afghan army and security forces. A statement issued in Islamabad says, General Petraeus appreciated the commitment and sacrifices made by Pakistan's armed forces and people in eradicating militancy and terrorism. The meeting was also attended by army chief Gen Ashfaq

Pervez Kayani and the Defence and Foreign Secretaries.
