Pakistan has stressed the need for enhancing trade and economic ties with India .Taking part in an interactive session with Indian businessmen in New Delhi today , the visiting Pakistan Federal Minister for Population Welfare Dr Firdaus Ashiq Awan proposed direct flights from Delhi and Amritsar to Sialkot . She also said that there is trust deficit between the two neighbouring countries which needs to be addressed.She also advocated the need for resuming composite dialogue. She regretted that there is typical mindset in both countries which has to change. Later speaking exclusively to AIR Dr Awan said that she has come to India with the message that her country is ready to facilitate Indian business in Pakistan.Mr. Amit Mitra ,the Secretary General of FICCI which organised the session proposed the holding of India Exhibition in Pakistan on the line of Pakistan exhibition in India. Earlier, issues related to trade including trading based MFN (most Favoured Nations), easy movement of good , absence of banks in each others country and safety of investments were discussed at the session which last over one and a half hours.
