Pak violates ceasefire in Kathua district & Rajouri sector in J&K; BSF soldier injured

In yet a fresh incidence of ceasefire violation along the Indo-Pak International Border in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir this morning, Pakistani forces resorted to heavy firing and shelling on Indian positions.<br/><br/> The Pakistani firing left a BSF Jawan injured seriously. Defence sources said, the Pakistani forces started unprovoked firing and shelling on Indian positions in Bobiya area of Hiranagar sector of this border district at about 10 A.M.<br/><br/>The BSF troops guarding the border retaliated the firing and gave a befitting reply. The heavy exchange of gunfire lasted for one and half an hour.The injured BSF jawan, Gurnam Singh hailing from Jammu, has been admitted to GMC and his condition is said to be critical.<br/><br/>This was the second incidence of Pakistani firing in the area in last three days. In the aftermaths of India's surgical strike in PoK, Pakistani forces have resorted to as many as 30 incidents of firing and shelling along the LoC. However, till Wednesday night, there was a lull along the International Border.<br/><br/>In yet another latest incidence of ceasefire violation along the Line of Control, Pakistani forces resorted to heavy firing and shelling on Indian positions in Rajouri sector this afternoon. Defence sources told AIR that the Pakistani forces started unprovoked firing and shelling on Indian positions about 1 P.M. today. Troops guarding the borderline retaliated the Pakistani shelling and exchange of fire is continuing.
