In Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistani troops yet again violated the ceasefire in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch which left one army jawan seriously injured. This is the second incident of ceasefire violation in last two days along the Line of Control (LoC) in Krishna Ghati sector of the district.

According to a Defence Spokesman, Pak troops resorted to small arms firing on Indian posts at around 2 pm. The Indian troops initially exercised restraint but retaliated when Pak troops continued to fire on Indian positions. The army jawan who was wounded, was air lifted to Command Hospital, Udhampur for treatment. This is the 12th ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops this year.

Meanwhile, the BSF jawan who was injured in the ceasefire violation on Monday in the same sector, succumbed to his injuries this morning.
