US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said that Pakistan has used terror outfits as a hedge against India and unfriendly regime in Afghanistan. In an interview to ABC News, she said Pakistan's policy vis a vis India and Afghanistan is changing for the better but added that she cannot vouch for a complete U-turn. Clinton also acknowledged that the US had created radical outfits and supported terrorists like Osama bin Laden to fight against the erstwhile Soviet Union, but that backing has boomeranged. She said, in Pak-Afghan region, part of what the US is fighting against right now is American creation. Reacting to Clinton's comments, Pak Foreign Office Spokesman Abdul Basit said Islamabad is trying to deal with extremist forces and it will be unwise to blame it. He said playing a blame game will in no way help to resolve the problems of the region.
