Pak troops violate ceasefire for 2nd time in Poonch

In Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistani troops violated ceasefire for the second time today by unprovoked firing on Indian forward posts in border district of Poonch. According to AIR Poonch Correspondent, Pak troops targeted Indian forward posts in Balakote and Mendhar sectors of Poonch. The firing took place at around 12 noon. However, Defence Spokesperson is yet to confirm the ceasefire violation in Poonch.

Earlier, one BSF jawan was injured when Pakistani troops started unprovoked firing on Indian forward posts along the International border in Kanha Chak sector of Jammu District this morning. According to official sources, the unprovoked firing at 7.40 am was returned by BSF jawans guarding the forward posts. In the exchange of fire, BSF jawan identified as Constable Pawan Kumar sustained bullet injuries. He was admitted to the Government Medical College, Jammu, where his condition is stated to be stable.
