In Jammu and Kashmir, violating the ceasefire again today, the Pakistani troops resorted to shelling in Balakote sector of Poonch district along the LoC this afternoon. According to Defence sources, the army troops at the border gave a befitting reply to the unprovoked Pak shelling and the exchange of firing was going on when the last reports came in. There is no report of any fresh causality or injury to the Indian side in the shelling. Since Saturday, six civilians have been killed and 20 others injured in Pak shelling in this sector.
