Pak troops violate cease fire in J&K for 4th time in a week

In the fourth incident of ceasefire violation within a week, Pakistani troops again pounded Indian posts with mortar shells along the line of control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. The violation took place in Krishna Ghati sector Staurday night and the firing continued till the wee hours Sunday morning. An army officer told PTI that one army Jawan sustained minor injuries in the firing.

AIR correspondent reports, the Defence Minister, Mr. A K Antony had informed the Rajya Sabha during the last session that Pakistani troops violated the cease fire along the Line of Control 51 times last year. In 2010, there were 44 such violations. The latest violation is the fourth this week. On June 11, a BSF Jawan was killed when Pakistani troops resorted to firing along the border. On June 13, three army jawans were injured, one of them critically in Krishan Ghati sector. Again on June 15, they resorted to small arms fire.
