In yet another violation of the ceasefire, Pakistani troops fired on Indian positions in Mendhar and Krishanghati areas of Poonch sector in Jammu and Kashmir. The firing lasted 15 to 20 minutes. An army spokesman said that there were no casualties and Indian troops did not retaliate. Till now, over 40 incidents of ceasefire violation have been reported this year. In 2003, India and Pakistan declared a ceasefire along the Line of Control as part of confidence-building measures.
