Pak troops continue to violate ceasefire along LoC in J&K

In Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistani troops yet again violated the ceasefire today by starting unprovoked firing on Indian forward posts in Poonch sector along Line of Control (LoC).

According to Defence Spokesperson Col. R K Palta , Pakistani troops started firing on Indian forward posts in Bhimber Gali sector from 0715 hrs and apart from firing mortar shells, they used small arms and automatic weapons. Indian troops guarding the border line retaliated strongly, triggering exchanges which are still continuing.

However, no loss of life or injury has been reported so far to anyone in Pak firing. Pak troops have been targeting Indian forward posts almost on regular basis along the Line of Control in Poonch since the sixth of this month when its special forces killed five Indian soldiers in Poonch.
