Pak troops again violate ceasefire in Poonch sector along LoC

Pakistani troops yet again violated the ceasefire today by starting unprovoked firing on Indian forward posts in Poonch sector along Line of Control (LoC).

According to Defence Spokesperson Col. R K Palta , Pakistani troops started firing on Indian forward posts in Bhimber Gali sector of Jammu and Kashmir this morning. They fired moratr shells and used small arms and automatic weapons.

Indian troops retaliated strongly, triggering exchanges which are still continuing. However, no loss of life or injury has been reported so far to anyone in Pak firing.

Pak troops have been targeting Indian forward posts almost on regular basis along the Line of Control in Poonch since the sixth of this month when its special forces killed five Indian soldiers in Poonch.
