Pak troops again violate ceasefire in Poonch sector

In Jammu and Kashmir Pakistani troops yet again violated the ceasefire today by starting unprovoked firing on Indian forward posts in Poonch sector along Line of Control (LoC). Defence Spokesperson S.N.Acharya told AIR Jammu Correspondent that Pakistani troops started firing on Indian forward posts in Mendhar sector from 0625 hrs this morning.

Pak army used small arms and automatic weapons. Indian troops guarding the border line retaliated strongly, triggering exchange of fire. No loss of life or injury has been reported so far. Pak troops have been targeting Indian forward posts almost on regular basis along the Line of Control in Poonch since August six when its special forces killed five Indian soldiers in Poonch.
