In northwest Pakistan, security forces have arrested more than 700 suspects in search operations in different parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. Provincial Information Minister, Mian Iftikhar Hussain said, the government had received information about the regrouping of terrorist gangs in the suburbs of Peshawar. The minister said that the sole obejctive of these operations is to flush out militants to avoid any unwanted incidents. A suicide attack at Yakanund in Mohamnd Agency in Pakistan had killed over 100 people recently.
