In yet another incident of ceasefire violation, Pakistani Rangerstoday resorted to unprovoked firing on forward Indian posts along the Indo-Pak border in Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir. According to a BSF Officer Pakistani Rangers resorted to small arms firing on the forward border belt of Chachwal along the International Border (IB) in Samba sector around 0930 hours today. BSF troops guarding the border took positions and fired back resulting in exchanges of firing, which continued for about 15 minutes. There was no casualty or injury in the firing. It may be recalled that Pakistan had violated the ceasefire 21 times by firing mortars, rockets and small arms in the past less than two months along the International Border and Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. On October 1, Pakistani troops resorted to firing over Indian posts and Chachwal forward village along the International Border (IB) in Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir in which a couple was injured.
