Jammu and Kashmir Government has appointed Principal Secretary to Government, Home Department Suresh Kumar to hold the enquiry into Kote Bhalwal Central jail incident.

An official spokesman said at Srinagar that Kumar will investigate the incident which took place at the Central Jail, Kote Bhalwal, Jammu on Friday in which a life convicted prisoner Sonaullah of Pakistan got injured.

The condition of Sanaullah, a Pakistani prisoner who is under treatment in PGI Chandigarh is still critical. According to a medical bulletin released by the hospital late last evening, he is on ventilator and in deep coma. His blood pressure is low. Pakistani officials visited Sanaullah last evening for the third time yesterday.

Meanwhile, Mr. Suiresh Kumar alongwith Director General Prisons K Rajindra have visited Central Jail Kot Bhalwal jail in Jammu and reviewed the security scenario.
