Pakistani police say they have discovered a large amount of ammunition and 1,500 kg of explosives during a raid in the eastern city of Lahore. The recovery was made from a shop in the Iqbal Town area. Police said the shop owner had been arrested. <br/><br/>News agency reports quoting Lahore police chief Pervez Rathore said innumerable machine-gun and Kalashnikov rounds, 16 grenades were recovered. He said the bomb disposal squad has defused them in front of everyone. Mr. Rathore said Lahore police recovered this cache of arms during a search and sweep operation and the raid was conducted after a tip-off.
