Pak PM Nawaz Sharif orders JIT for Pathankot attack probe

In Pakistan, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has set up a high-profile joint investigation team (JIT) to probe into the links of the Pathankot air base attackers with Pakistan. <br/><br/>PTI quoting a report in a local media said today that Sharif's decision to form the JIT came after the leads provided by India. <br/><br/>New Delhi has sought for action on the Pathankot terror attack from Islamabad. <br/><br/>The probe panel comprises officials from Intelligence Bureau (IB), Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Military Intelligence (MI). <br/><br/>Indian intelligence reports suggested that groups and people in Pakistan planned and executed the strike. <br/><br/>India has provided "specific and actionable information in this regard" to Pakistan.<br/> <br/>Sharif has assured leaders from India and the US that Pakistan will investigate the matter and make the results public.
