Pakistan and Afghanistan have decided to launch fresh operations against terrorists in the wake of Peshawar school massacre by Taliban. Pak Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif today told an all Parties Conference in Peshawar that he spoke to Afghan President Ashraf Ghani last night to discuss how both countries could do more to fight terrorism. He said, the two leaders agreed to launch fresh operations on their respective sides of the border. He said, their aim is to clean this region of terrorism. Sharif said, not only Pakistan and Afghanistan but indeed this entire region should be cleaned of terrorism.
His statement came in the aftermath of the yesterday's Peshawar school massacre in which at least 132 students and nine staffers were killed by Taliban militants. Sharif also announced the lifting of self-imposed moratorium on death penalties in terror cases. He said, these sacrifices will not go waste and they want complete elimination of terrorism from Pakistan. Meanwhile, Pakistan army chief General Raheel Sharif today dashed to Afghanistan to seek extradition of Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan, TTP leader Mullah Fazlluah, whose group claimed responsibility for yesterday's deadly Peshawar school attack
