The government today made it clear in the Lok Sabha that Pakistani nationals who have come to India on group pilgrimage will have to return to Pakistan within their visa validity period.

In reply to a question, Minister of State for Home, Mr. Mullappally Ramachandran informed the House that a number of Pakistani Hindus and Sikhs who came on pilgrimage group visa, have been seeking extensions to continue staying in India.

He said, such Pakistani nationals were granted visas to visit religious places in groups and have to return to their country within the specified period.
