Pak parl Guru resolution:New Delhi reacts sharply; asks Islamabad not to dabble in India's internal matters

India has reacted sharply to the resolution passed by Pakistan Parliament, saying it was highly improper.

External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshed has asked Islamabad not to dabble in the internal matters of this country adding that they should address matters of their own country.

Pakistan's Parliament had yesterday passed a resolution condemning the hanging of Afzal Guru and demanded the return of his body to his family.

Just two days before it completes its five-year term, the Pakistan National Assembly passed the resolution moved by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman who heads a special Parliamentary panel on Kashmir.

Besides condemning the hanging of Guru, 2001 Parliament attack convict, the resolution expressed concern at the situation created in Jammu and Kashmir by the execution.

The Parliamentary resolution also called for removal of the army from towns and cities of the Kashmir valley. Guru was hanged and buried within Delhi's Tihar Jail in February.
