Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Asif was yesterday released from a British jail after completing half of his one-year sentence for his role in a spot-fixing scandal. According to his London-based law firm, Asif was set free from the Canterbury Prison in Southeast England yesterday morning. The fast bowler is still under ICC suspension. Then Pakistan Test skipper Salman Butt and fast bowler Mohammad Aamir are still in custody in the same scandal.
