Pak needs to take more effective steps to stop Terrorism: S M Krishna

New Delhi today urged Pakistan to take more effective steps to stop terrorism emanating from that country. <br/><br/>Replying the debate on the demands of grants for External Affairs Ministry in the Lok Sabha, the Minister Mr. S.M. Krishna said this has been convened to Pakistan in the foreign Secretary Level talks held early this year. He reiterated India's stand to address all issues of concern with Pakistan through dialogue.<br/><br/>Referring to the Afghanistan he said India will continue its reconstruction and development programme for stability of that country and people. <br/><br/>Mr. Krishna said instability and extremism in the region is a cause of great concern for security and development of India. <br/><br/>Referring to the relations with Nepal and other neighboring countries Mr. Krishna said New Delhi believes in resolving all issues through dialogue. <br/><br/>On China he said the dialogue to resolve the boundary question is on and there is peace and tranquility on the line of actual control. <br/><br/>The External Affairs Minister said that the staple visas and other relevant issues have been taken up with China at appropriate levels.<br/><br/>Describing Indo US Civil Nuclear deal as a mile stone in the growing strategic relations between the two countries, Mr. Krishna said that these relations are widening and expanding. <br/><br/>The areas of cooperation include trade and commerce, education and Science and Technology. <br/><br/>Mr. Krishna talked about growing relations with Russia and made Indian stand clear on Iran Nuclear issue. <br/><br/>Earlier the members participating in the debate criticized the government for several foreign policy initiatives and called for taking corrective majors in tune with India's growing stature at the global stage. The house later passed demands for grants for the Ministry through voice vote.<br/>
