Pak migrants to India are considered for citizenship : Govt

The government has said persons who migrated from Pakistan to India
are considered for citizenship under the Citizenship Act, 1955 and
other relevant rules. Such minorities from Pakistan are eligible for
the grant of Long Term Visa (LTV). This information was given in a
written reply in the Rajya Sabha by Minister of State for Home Affairs
Kiren Rijiju. He said Pakistani Hindus who have been granted LTV can
take up any employment in the private sector. He said a package for
Jammu and Kashmir announced in 2008, provides for concessions to the
children and grandchildren of West Pakistan refugees settled in Jammu
and Kashmir in the matter of admission in the technical and educational
