A US Congressional report says, Pakistan is home to a large number of militant outfits of which one specifically targets India. Staing that it gets the maximum support from the establishment, the latest report of independent Congressional Research Service said that perhaps the most notable among these outfits is the LeT, a US-designated terrorist group with longstanding ties to the ISI, and blamed for the 2008 Mumbai attacks that killed 166 persons. The report adds that India and Kashmir oriented militant outfits, especially the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), and Harakat ul-Mujahadeen (HuM), are based in both the Punjab province and in Pakistan-held Kashmir.
