BJP today said Pakistan government should explain on what grounds actor Anupam Kher was denied a visa to travel to the neighbouring country. <br/><br/>Party Secretary Shrikant Sharma questioned why Islamabad singled out and discriminated against the noted Bollywood artiste. <br/><br/>He said Indian government has been liberal in granting visas to Pakistani artistes as exchange of artistes help promote peace and improve ties among people. Mr. Sharma also wondered the silence of intellectuals vocal in the intolerance debate over the matter. <br/><br/>Earlier in the day, Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit had called up Mr. Kher and offered him a visa to travel to his country. <br/><br/>However , the Bollywood actor declined the offer saying that he has already taken up other assignments on the scheduled dates.
