In Pakistan, the armed forces have taken over major parts of South Waziristan Agency and a number of important Taliban commanders have been arrested. <br/><br/>At a briefing in Damadola today, Inspector General of Frontier Corps, Major General Tariq Khan said security forces have arrested seventyone militants in the ongoing operation. <br/><br/>He said operation against terrorists in Tirah Valley and Orakzai Agency will also be launched shortly.<br/><br/>The Frontier Corps chief said fiftyfour militants, including seven top commanders have so far been killed in the ongoing operation in Mamond tehsil of Bajaur Agency.<br/>
