In Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistani forces resorted to unprovoked firing and mortar shelling along the Line of Control in Poonch district. According to defence sources, Pakistani troops started firing and shelling on some Indian positions as well as civilian areas in Balakot sector of the district around 8 last evening. Our correspondent reports, Indian troops gave a befitting reply and the exchange of fire lasted till 4 this morning.<br/><br/>
