Pak court summons 52 in a graft case

In Pakistan, an anti-corruption court has issued summons against 52 people, including Interior Minister Rehman Malik. Judge Mir Muhammad Shaikh of the anti-corruption court in Karachi summoned Malik to appear before him on the 8th of next month following the reopening of a graft case that was closed under the National Reconciliation Ordinance. The court issued summons to the 52 people who have been accused of corruption and amassing wealth beyond their known sources of income.Defence Minister Mukhtar was barred on Thursday from travelling to China on an official visit because his name has been included in the Exit Control List. Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has suspended Interior Secretary and three other officials over the incident of barring the Defence Minister from boarding a flight to China.
