A Pakistani court has ordered the chopping off of the noses and ears of two men as punishment for inflicting similar injuries on a woman they abducted. An anti-terrorism court headed by Judge Khalid Naveed Dar handed down the punishment on Monday in Lahore to Sher Muhammad and Amanat Ali, who were found guilty of kidnapping the woman. The girl, who was not named, had refused to marry one of them. After abducting her, the men, in a barbaric act, cut off her nose and ears. The anti-terrorism court also sentenced the two to life imprisonment and fined them each three lakh rupees. They were also directed to pay the woman Seven lakh as compensation. The Lahore High Court had recently taken suo moto notice of the incident and directed the anti-terrorism court to decide the matter within a month.
