Defence Minister A K Antony said that Pakistan continues to push in trained terrorists into India from a large number of terror camps on its soil.Talking to reporters in Thiruvananthapuram, he said, infiltration is a matter of serious concern and steps are being taken to check this. He also added that it will be difficult to improve ties with Pakistan unless it makes serious and sincere efforts to dismantle the terror camps on its soil.Mr Antony said, as a policy, India is not for any confrontation with its neighbours and favors improvement of ties. Defence Minister A K Antony has ruled out any immediate action by the army against the Maoists. Interacting with mediapersons at Thiruvanathapuram he said that Indian military is not contemplating any action against Maoists as of now. However, he said that para-military forces will be assisting police forces of affected states to contain the growing menace of Maoists. As the Home Ministry is getting geared for a major offensive against Maoists atrocities in different states, Defence Minister A K Antony made it clear that the army will not be deployed against Maoists. He said that Maoist problem is an international security matter and using armed forces will be the very last option. However, the Defence Minister has made it clear that para-military forces will be assisting the police forces of states severely affected by Maoists violence. Referring to better ties with Pakistan the Defence Minister said that infiltration from across the border is a matter of concern and concrete action should be taken to dismantle terrorist training camps operating from Pakistan territory.
