Pakistan says, it is considering appointing a former diplomat as a special envoy for informal peace talks with India. Pakistani Foreign Minister, Shah Mehmud Qureshi said, former Foreign Secretary, Riaz Mohammed Khan, might be appointed for informal dialogue known as the back channel diplomacy. However, Mr. Qureshi said, informal talks would only work if they were held alongside a formal peace process.
