Pak Boat case: Circumstantial evidence points towards terror link, says Defence Minister

Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has said that the circumstantial evidence in the Pakistani boat leading to Indian Coast Guard operations points towards a suspected terror link.

Talking to reporters in New Delhi on Monday, Mr Parrkar said, the location of the boat was not the normal sea route.

He said even the smugglers normally take the busy route so that they can mingle with other boats.

The Minister said, the occupants of the boat were suspected terrorists as they committed suicide.

He said people carrying drugs in a normal boat can throw them in the sea before surrendering.

Mr Parrikar lauded the Coast Guards saying that it has done a right job at right time based on intelligence inputs.
