In Pakistan, the Taliban has claimed the responsibility for a blast that killed eight people and injured 12 others in the northwest tribal area of Bajaur today. Local Urdu TV channel ARY said the remote-controlled blast took place at about this morning inside a tea shop where some anti- Taliban local tribal leaders were having tea together at a market in the town of Tehsil Salarzai in Bajaur Agency. The report said seven shops nearby the tea shop were also destroyed in the blast. Located along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border area, Bajaur is one of the seven tribal areas in northwest Pakistan, which constantly fall under terrorist attacks.
