Pakistan beat hosts Sri Lanka by 7 wickets in the 4th ODI at Colombo yesterday to clinch the 5-match series. This was Pakistan's first bilateral series win in Sri Lanka in nine years, which also took them closer to the qualification of the 8-nation Champions Trophy which will be held in England in 2017. Opting to bat, the hosts posted 256 for 9 riding on Lahiru Thirimanne's 90. Paceman Mohammad Irfan was the pick of the Pakistan bowlers as he bagged 3 wickets.In reply, the visitors overhauled the target in the 41st over courtesy a brilliant batting display from opener Ahmed Shehzad and Mohammad Hafeez. Man of the match Shehzad made 95, while Hafeez scored 70. The final ODI between the two sides will be played at Hambantota on Sunday. It will be followed by a 2-match T-20 series. Earlier, Pakistan had won the 3-game Test series, 2-1.
