Pak beat Kenya by 205 runs in ICC Cricket WC

Pakistan have won their opening match in the ICC Cricket World Cup. In a Group 'A' Day-Night fixture at Hambantota in Sri Lanka today, they crushed Kenya by 205 runs. Electing to bat after winning the toss at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Stadium, Pakistan piled up 317 for seven in their 50 overs. Later, they bundled out the Kenyans for a paltry 112 in 33.1 overs. For Kenya, only four batsmen reached double figures with Collins Obuya top–scoring with a gutsy 47 off 58 balls. Skipper Shahid Afridi was the chief-wrecker of the Kenyan innings with Five wickets for 16 runs in 8 overs. It was his maiden five wicket haul in World Cup. Umar Akmal who top-scored with 71 in the Pakistan innings was declared the Man of the Match. While Pakistan earned two points from the win, for Kenya it was their second consecutive defeat in the mega event, after losing to New Zealand on Sunday. South Africa take on the West Indies in a Group 'B' Day-Night match at Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi today. All India Radio will broadcast live commentary on the match.
