Pak beat India by 54 runs in Champions Cricket Trophy

Pakistan beat India by 54 runs in ICC Champions Cricket Trophy. At Centurion Johhensburg yesterday, chasing a target of 303 runs, team India were all out for 248 runs in 44.5 overs. Rahul Dravid top scored for India with 76 runs in 103 balls, while Gautam Gambhir scored 57 and Suresh Raina contributrd 46 runs. For Pakistan, Sahid Afridi, S Ajmal, Mohmd Amer and Naved took two wickets each.Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat. Shoaib Malik 128 led a late explosion with a scintillating century to propel Pakistan to a challenging 302 for nine. Pakistan exploded in the second half of their innings with Malik and Mohammad Yousuf, who scored 87 runs in 88-balls, sharing a 206-run stand for the fourth wicket from 188 balls after they were reduced to 65 for three in the 15th over.Except for Ashish Nehra 4 for 55, all other Indian bowlers, including Harbhajan Singh, failed to deliver. Ishant Sharma took 2 wickets, while Harbhajan, RP Singh and Yousuf Pathan took a wicket apiece. Shoaib Malik was declared Man of the Match.India now have to beat Australia and West Indies to enter semifinal.
