In yet another ceasefire violation, troops from across the border resorted to firing on Indian posts in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to a Defence sources, Pakistani troops fired on several Indian posts along the Line of Control in Krishnagati area of Poonch sector late last night.
The firing is believed to be initiated from Daku, Shiv, Battal posts of Pakistan which targeted Kripan, Kranti and Kranti-1 post on Indian side early Thursday morning .
The Indian troops guarding the border also retaliated, resulting in an exchange of fire. There was no loss of life or damage to property in the firing. This is the second incident of ceasefire violation in the last two days.
Earlier, on August 7, Pakistani troops resorted to small and medium arms firing on Indian posts in Shah Pur Sector along the Loc in Poonch district.
