Pair of Leander Paes and Martina Hingis to play for Mixed Doubles quarter-final berth today US Open today

In Tennis, the pair of Leander Paes and Martina Hingis will today play for a Mixed Doubles quarter-final berth of the US Open, the fourth and final Grand Slam of the season. The Indo-Swiss duo will take on the higher-placed American team of Rajeev Ram and Coco Vandeweghe.On Friday night, top seeded Sania Mirza and Ivan Dodig and the pair of Rohan Bopanna and Gabriela Dabrowski had progressed to the pre-quarterfinal round.Sania will be seen in action in Women's Doubles today for a pre-quarterfinal berth. She and her Czech team-mate Barbora Strycova, seeded 7th, will clash with the unseeded Swiss-American pair of Viktorija Golubic and Nicole Melichar.In Men's Doubles, Paes and Bopanna, with their partners, had crashed out of the tournament Friday evening.In the Singles, world number one Serena Williams, her sister Venus Williams, second seed Andy Murray, Stanislas Wawrinka, Agnieszka Radwanska and Simona Halep are among those who will play their third round matches today.Top seed Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Angelique Kerber, Roberta Vinci and Petra Kvitova have already made it to the pre-quarter-finals.
