<span style="color: #222222;">The Administrative Council of Jammu and Kashmir has amended the J&K Reservation Rules , 2005 to bring the Pahari language speaking people in the category of socially and educationally backward classes.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The amendments were approved in a meeting of the AC chaired by the Lieutenant governor, G C Murmu yesterday.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">According to the officials, it had become imperative to rationalize the existing reservation percentages to give representation to this section following the reorganization of the erstwhile State of Jammu and Kashmir and enactment of the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation (Amendment) Act, 2004.</span><br />
