Paes, Melzer crash out of Men's Doubles of French Open

India's Leander Paes and his Austrian partner Jurgen Melzer crashed out of the Men's Doubles of the French Open Tennis tournament today. In Paris the ninth seeded Indo-Austrian pair was beaten by Argentine Horacio Zeballos and his team-mate from Uruguay, Pablo Cuevas with a 5-7, 6-4, 7-6 score in the second round The winners advanced to the pre-quarterfinals of the championship.Later in the day Leander Paes, Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna, with their respective partners, will be seen in action in the Mixed Doubles opening round today. Paes and his Serb team-mate Jelena Jankovic will clash with the Italian-Kazakh combination of Daniele Bracciali and Galina Voskoboeva. The seventh seeded Indo-Australian pair of Mahesh Bhupathi and Casey Dellacqua will meet the Mexican-Aussie team of Santiago Gonzalez and Anastasia Rodionova, while the Indo-Aussie pair of Rohan Bopanna and Ashleigh Barty will slug it out the Czech duo of Frantisek Cermak and Lucie Hradecka.In the Women's singles section Victoria Azarenka of Belarus, Russian Maria Sharapova, Francisca Schiavone of Italy, and Sloane Stephen's of the United States have entered the Pre-quater final stage. In the Men's section Kei Nishikori of Japan entered pre-quarter final stage. Top seeds like World Number One Novak Djokovic of Serbia, Spaniard Rafael Nadal, and will figure in the Singles third round matches today.
