Paes, Jankovic enter Mixed Doubles pre-quarterfinals of French Open

India's Leander Paes and his Serbian team-mate Jelena Jankovic have stormed into the Mixed Doubles pre-quarterfinals of the French Open Tennis tournament in Paris. In the opening round match last night, the Indo-Serbian duo defeated the Italian-Kazakh combination of Daniele Bracciali and Galina Voskoboeva, 7-5, 6-3. For a place in the quarterfinals, Paes and Jelena will clash with the Brazilian-American pair of Marcelo Melo and Liezel Huber today.In the Women's Doubles second round, the Indo-American team of Sania Mirza and Bethanie Mattek-Sands will meet the American pair of Megan Moulton-Levy and Lauren Davis today. The winner will advance to the pre-quarterfinals.Meanwhile, top seeds, America's World Number One Serena Williams, Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland, Swiss Roger Federer and Spaniard David Ferrer have made it to the Singles quarterfinals. World Number One Novak Djokovic of Serbia, Spain's Rafael Nadal, Russian Maria Sharapova and Victoria Azarenka of Belarus will be seen vying for a quarterfinal spot today.
