Paes- Bhupati storm into final of Australian open

After 12 years, the re-united Indian duo of Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupati have stormed into the finals of the Men's Doubles event of the Australian Open today. They defeated the second-seeds, Max Miryni of Belarus and Canada's Daniel Nestor 7-6, 4-6, 6-3. The pair will now face the top-seeded American combine of Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan in the finals of the event.Earlier today, the Bryan brothers defeated the pair of fellow American, Eric Butorac and Jean-Julien Rojer of Netherlands Antilles, 6-3, 6-2 in the first semi-final match.In the Women's Singles event, the first semi-final match between Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki and China's Na Li is in progress. Belgium's Kim Clijsters will take on Russia's Vera Zvonavera in the other semi-final, also slated for today.Switzerland's World No. 2, Roger Federer will also lock horns with Serbia's Novak Djokovic in the first semi-final match of the Men's Singles event today.Li Na became the first Chinese player to reach a Grand Slam singles final in the Australian Open semifinals yesterday. She beat top-ranked Caroline Wozniacki by 3-6, 7-5, 6-3 Li, who lost to Serena Williams in two tiebreak sets in the semifinals last year, will meet either Kim Clijsters or No. 2 Vera Zvonareva in the final.She is also the first player from Asia to reach a Grand Slam singles final.
