Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) Chairman Prasoon Joshi today appeared before a parliamentary panel to brief members about the controversy over film Padmavati. <br/><br/>Sources said, he apprised the Petitions committee of Lok Sabha headed by BJP MP Bhagat Singh Koshyari that the film has not yet been approved. <br/><br/>Sources said, CBFC Chief told the Panel that the Censor Board has only cleared the trailer and promos. He told the panel that a decision on the film will be taken after showing it to experts.<br/><br/>Earlier, the committee had sought a report from the Information and Broadcasting Ministry and the Censor Board after BJP MPs C P Joshi and Om Birla filed a plea on alleged objectionable content in the film.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information Technology also met this evening and discussed the issues relating to the movie. <br/><br/>Padmavati Film Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali appeared before the committee and faced several questions. <br/><br/>Sources said, the film director was questioned what is the story on which the movie is based and also whether historical facts have been altered. The panel has sought answer to some questions in writing from Bhansali. <br/><br/>
