In Karnataka, renowned scholar Dr. Mathoor Krishnamurti passed away in a private hospital in Bangalore today due to brief illness. A Padmashree awardee, he was the Director of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Bangalore. He also established London centre of Vidya Bhavan. He was actively involved in various programmes in propagating Indian thoughts and values and authored a number of books.
