In Haryana , the arrival of paddy in the mandis has gained momentum . Till yesterday a total of 1,25,0000 metric tonns of paddy had arrived in tehe mandis of the state. The Government agencies have purchased 86,300 metric tonns out of total arrival. The district Kurukshetra is leading with arrival of 36600 metric tonns , while Karnal is at second place with arrival of 34,800 tonns of paddy.Meanwhile, Haryana has become the first state, which will permit only treated seeds to provide protection against the three prevalent diseases. The decision was taken today at a meeting held under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda at Chandigarh.
