Climate scientist RK Pachauri, accused of sexual harassment was today sent on an indefinite leave by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). In a related development, former Competition Commission chief Ashok Chawla was appointed new chairman of the organisation. Chawla replaces an old colleague of Pachauri, B V Sreekantan, who was serving as the chairman. <br/><br/>Pachauri ,the former TERI Director General continued to face heat with women activists protested outside TERI office, demanding his sacking from the organisation. Pachauri was controversially elevated to the post of vice-chairman this week, triggering outrage from the complainants and activists.
