Ace Indian shuttler PV Sindhu has entered the quarter-finals in the 120,000 dollar Malaysia Masters Grand Prix Gold badminton tournament. Two-time World Championship bronze medallist Sindhu, defeated South Korean Kim Hyo Min 21-14, 21-12 in 41 minutes to make the last eight stage. In the Men's singles, Parupalli Kashyap and Ajay Jayaram reached the pre-quarter-finals. Commonwealth Games gold medalist Kashyap beat Indonesian Jonatan Christie 13-21, 22-20, 21-12 in an hour and two minutes. Ajay Jayaram defeated Indonesia's Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka in three games. The pair of Tarun and Sikki Reddy advanced in the mixed doubles category after beating Indonesian pair of Fran Kurniawan and Komala Dewi 23-21, 22-20.
