Former Union Minister P Upendra passed away in Hyderabad this evening. He was ailing for the past few days and under treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad. He had held several portfolios including information and Broadcasting in the union cabinet. After entering politics in early 1980s, he had been in active politics in Telugu Desam Party and BJP before joining Praja Rajyam Party. <br/>
