Top seeded Parupalli Kashyap has reached the second round of Syed Modi International Grand Prix Gold India badminton tournament, which opened in Lucknow on Wednesday.He defeated Anup Sridhar 21-14, 21-16 in the first round.Other Indian shuttlers to reach the second round of men's singles on Wednesday were Ajay Jayaram, RMV Gurusai Dutt, H.S. Prannay and Chetan Anand.In women's singles, ace shuttlers Saina Nehwal and P.V.Sindhu will open their campagin later in the day.The six-day event was scheduled to be held in December last year but had to be postponed to January by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) to avoid a clash with Super Series Finals in Kuala Lumpur.
